The City of Ukiah Community Services Department offers a full scope of activities and services to the public well beyond that of traditional parks and recreation. The divisions of Parks and Golf offer year round open space, picnic grounds, sports activities, and public events, such as Sundays in the Park Community Concert Series. The Grace Hudson Museum and The Sun House provide the community with an extraordinary cultural asset in the form of an extensive collection of Native American art, including a standing display of works by one of the finest American artists, Grace Hudson. Personal tours of The Sun House, the fully restored Craftsman style residence of Grace and her husband Dr. John Hudson are available upon request.
The Community Services Department, also offers the finest meeting and conference rooms available through the Ukiah Valley Conference Center, which includes an excellent staff experienced in providing the highest level of service for your business meeting, wedding, or social event. Additional room rentals are also available at the Todd Grove Community Room, and the Grace Hudson meeting room.
Sports and Recreation Activities programs, including a full menu of youth and adult sports activities are offered seasonally, recreation classes ranging from dance, arts, crafts, fitness, and much more are scheduled three time each year through the City of Ukiah Activity and Recreation Guide (available at right). The Recreation Division also operates the Todd Grove Aquatics Center and Summer Safari Day Camp, offering all-day care for youth in our community. Contact Community Services:
