Gobbi Street Underground Project

The City of Ukiah is pleased to announce the approval of the Gobbi Street Underground District No. 3 Project. This City project will enhance the beauty and value of our community! The project boundary consists of Gobbi Street from Orchard Avenue to State Street including sections of Main Street, Marshall Street and Leslie Street.

The City will make every effort to minimize traffic delays along Gobbi Street. Additional construction information will be provided once a contractor is selected.

Gobbi Street will remain open throughout the construction project and local businesses will continue to serve their customers.

Below is the Proposed Timeline which is subject to change.

Spring/Summer 2019 Underground Utility Construction
Summer/Fall 2019 Ukiah Electric Utility Department install underground facilities
Fall 2019 Ukiah Electric Utility Department to remove overhead facilities
Fall/Winter 2019 AT&T and Comcast install underground facilities
Spring 2020 AT&T to remove poles
